1666 Amsterdam gameplay footage shows the IP’s original form
1666 Amsterdam has been making a lot of noise in the last few weeks. First we heard that Ubisoft has renewed its trademark on 1666, but then it was revealed that Patrice Desilets has regained all creative rights on the IP. Gearbox software acquires Homeworld IP
Gearbox Software has purchased the rights for the cult classic Homeworld franchise from THQ. Brian Martel, the studios Chief Creative Officer who spearheaded the acquisition, revealed his plans for the RTS/space-simulator, which include a re-release of the original Homeworld and it's sequel Homeworld 2 on "today's leading digital platforms."
