Morbid: The Seven Acolytes is a horror fantasy isometric action RPG, developed by Still Running and published by Merge Games. The game finds inspiration in both Lovecraftian horror and Cronenbergian gore.
You will play as the last Striver of Dibrom, tasked with the sacred duty of defeating the Seven Acolytes and freeing the kingdom from their reign of terror. Face challenging enemies, absorb yourself in the lore, and discover multiple ways to build your character.
Fight your way through bloodthirsty mini-bosses and monstrous bosses that will test even the most striving Strivers (of Dibrom). While doing so, you can immerse yourself in the world of Morbid: The Seven Acolytes with its deep lore and the NPCs you will meet across the kingdom of Mornia.
Build your character using skill trees, perks, and runes. You can upgrade everything from the way you fight to your health and stamina. But pay attention – the game will make your life even harder with a new resource to look after – Sanity.
With huge bosses, a dark fantasy setting, action stamina-based combat, and the option to build your character in different ways, there’s no doubt about it – Morbid: The Seven Acolytes is following the Souls-like formula to a tee. If you consider the setting is mostly inspired by Lovecraftian horror and that you have a sanity bar to keep watch of, you could even call the game a Bloodborne-like.
Morbid: The Seven Acolytes will launch on PC through Steam, and on Xbox One, PS4, and Nintendo Switch on December 3.
