Haven launches next month, but we got a new story trailer right now

Leaving the life and everything they had behind, Yu and Kay decide to find a new home among the stars. Play co-op with a friend or on your own in Haven, the next game from The Game Bakers, the developers of Furi.

Explore an eerie and unstable planet while trying to survive the harsh environment. The characters of Haven can glide across the vast landscape without touching the ground. The exploration is much easier than similar open-world games, where you’re mostly walking or running.

When fighting, you can control the loving couple at the same time. We can see them attacking in turns, or cooperating to take down enemies more quickly. At one point in the trailer, we see Kay jumping in front of Yu to protect her from damage, and later Yu heals him so he can keep fighting.

While playing Haven’s demo, I cleared some areas from corruption, found ingredients for cooking food, and salvaged spare parts to fix a crashed spaceship. But the focus of the game is the relationship between Yu and Kay, the consequences of the choices you make, and if you’re willing to sacrifice everything for love. The interactions between the characters are funny, real, and sometimes sad as well.

According to the developers, if you buy Haven on PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X, you will get a free copy of the game for current-gen consoles as well. The same goes the other way around – buying a copy for PS4 or Xbox One will net you the game on next-gen consoles.

Haven is coming to PC via Steam and GOG, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PS5 on December 3, 2020. PS4 and Nintendo Switch versions will be released in early 2021.
