Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is so popular on PC and PlayStation 4, it’s a wonder we haven’t already seen it on more platforms yet. Although, that will change soon as Fall Guys mobile is now a thing.
A few days ago, games analyst Daniel Ahmad tweeted that the Chinese games and entertainment company Bilibili has secured the rights to publish the game on mobile, but only in China.
Since then, Bill Croft, one of the founders of Fall Guys developer Mediatonic, has confirmed the news to multiple outlets.
“We can confirm Bilibili have secured publishing rights to a mobile version in China,” Croft said in a statement. “As you can imagine, we’ve had a lot of questions about platforms since launch, and of course we’d love to release on more platforms in the future but for now we’re focusing our efforts on PC and PS4.”
If you search Bilibili’s website for a Fall Guys game, you come across it as Jelly Bean: The Ultimate Knockout Mobile Game. “Jelly Bean” is obviously a reference to the game’s characters, who are often described as jelly beans. The PC and PS4 versions of the game go by the same name in China.
Currently, there’s no information if a mobile version of Fall Guys will ever reach the rest of the world. The game’s official twitter account has warned us of fake Fall Guys mobile games before, tweeting: “If you see any ads for a mobile version they are scams.”
However, it was only a matter of time before Fall Guys on mobile became a real thing. The game is perfect for mobile devices: you can play it in short sessions, as a lot of folks get eliminated in early rounds. The game also doesn’t require a complex UI for people to easily play it on mobile devices using touchscreen controls.
Let’s just say that if you can play Fortnite on mobile – you can definitely play Fall Guys on mobile.
Fall Guys launched on PC and PlayStation 4 in early August and drew in 1.5 million players in the first 24 hours. It might have something to do with the fact the game is free for PlayStation Plus subscribers.
