Eighties icon and self-proclaimed ladies man Larry Laffer is back once again in Leisure Suit Larry: Wet Dreams Dry Twice.
The sequel continues the story of 2018’s Wet Dreams Don’t Dry, and sees Larry sailing to the tropical Kalaua’a archipelago in search of his true love Faith, who he accidentally sent out to sea.
We join Larry on his makeshift boat, as he sails from island to island, visiting over 50 beautifully hand-drawn locations and meeting more than 40 new and old friends.
Of course, Leisure Suit Larry: Wet Dreams Dry Twice won’t be an adventure game without some puzzles. The sequel is still a point-and-click game, so you’ll pick up and use whatever’s around to solve perplexing puzzles. Larry can now use contemporary gadgets (and his limited smarts) to solve perplexing puzzles throughout the archipelago.
“Bringing Larry Laffer back to his adoring fans has been a labor of love and something that we’ve not taken lightly,” said Assemble Entertainment CEO Stefan Marcinek. “Crazybunch did an excellent job repositioning Larry in the modern age while retaining the mostly-SFW humor that’s loved and expected in the series. We can’t wait to see what fans think of Larry’s new soaking wet adventure!”
Leisure Suit Larry: Wet Dreams Don’t Dry was a pretty decent adventure game with a not-so-decent story. Now that Larry is acclimatized to the 21st century, let’s hope developer Crazybunch can focus on original gags for the sequel, instead of the tired “millennials are weird” schtick.
Leisure Suit Larry: Wet Dreams Dry Twice is coming… to PC via Steam and GOG on October 15.
