Last month, during the PC Gaming Show, developers Leikir Studio and Cyanide Studio showed us some Rogue Lords gameplay. Today, we get a glimpse of the game’s story, in a new trailer narrated by the Devil himself.
It all started many years ago, as the ungrateful people decided to rise against the Devil and chase him away back into the underworld. Led by wretched men that call themselves Demon Hunters, the Devil, and his beautiful corrupted creatures, suffered a terrible loss and were forced to retreat to Hell.
The poor Devil had to live scarcely, surviving on a dwindling supply of fresh souls (medical advances can be a real buzzkill sometimes). In his despair, he decides to resurface and assemble the forces of darkness to help him gain his power back. If you made a pact with the Devil, it’s time to pay up.
The story trailer reveals the Demon Hunters, which I believe would serve as bosses in this gloomy rogue-like game. It strengthens the game’s theme and I am hoping for more content to be revealed before its release in 2021.
Rogue Lords will be available on PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC.
