According to developer Neostream, Little Devil Inside is an “action-adventure RPG with survival elements.” But when watching the game’s new trailer, what I really see is a lovely art style, charm, humor, and an old man taking a dignified dump.

Little Devil Inside has been around since 2015 when it was successfully Kickstarted. Since then, we haven’t seen much of the game, and to tell you the truth, I completely forgot about it.

I’m glad Sony decided to remind us all of its existence, because Little Devil Inside looks spectacular.

The game’s newest trailer has aired during the recent PlayStation 5 event. While it doesn’t show real-time gameplay, it sure is intriguing. The video shows our hero deep-sea diving, fighting (and running away from) monsters, and surviving against the elements. All the while, an elderly gentleman is shown going throw his daily routine.

I’m not sure who this older fellow is, or how he’s connected to the young hero, but I do hope we’ll get to play as him on occasion. It could be nice to take a break from hunting bears while riding a donkey to go down to the local deli to buy some “schmeat.”

Seriously, though, Little Devil Inside looks fantastic, and everything the trailer shows makes me even more excited to play the game. Eventually.

There’s still no release date in sight, but we do know Little Devil Inside is a PlayStation 5 “timed console exclusive,” meaning it will be available first on PS5 and PC. Later, we might get an Xbox Series X or Switch versions.
