Family Man, an upcoming RPG by developer Broken Bear Games, asks one simple question: When pushed to the limits of your own morality, how far would you go for the sake of your family?
The game may look innocent enough with its colorful and blocky graphics, but don’t let it fool you. The devs cite Breaking Bad as a big source of inspiration, so there’s some serious darkness underneath the surface.
In Family Man, you owe the mob a lot of money, and you have only three weeks to pay it all back. You can try making an honest living while scraping by in the hopes it will be enough, or you can get your hands dirty and risk pushing your wife and son away.
Every decision you make can affect your relationships with those around you – your neighborhood, your friends, and your family. It’s really up to you what you’re willing to risk, and what price you’re ready to pay. As the trailer shows us, sometimes the cost can be too high.
Family Man will have all sorts of routes you can take, with multiple endings. There are dozens of missions to complete all over the town of Riverport, and many stories to play through.
How you choose to play will also change your character, and unlock unique perks that suit your gameplay style.

Publisher No More Robots (which also brought us Yes, Your Grace and Descenders) is celebrating the game’s upcoming launch by letting you play the first 30 minutes for free. You can download Family Man: Prologue for free, and get a taste of this dark, story-heavy RPG.
The full version of Family Man will be available for PC on May 22.
