A new trailer gives us a peek of the story and gameplay of Kamala Khan, also known as Ms. Marvel, in the upcoming Marvel’s Avengers.

She is here for one reason: reunite the Avengers and expose AIM’s scheme.

Publisher Square Enix and developer Crystal Dynamics have announced that Kamala Khan is joining the Marvel’s Avengers cast as a playable character during Comic-con at New-York.

Just in case you don’t recognize her by that name, perhaps her moniker Ms. Marvel rings a bell. Her character was created by G. Willow Wilson, Adrian Alphona, Sana Amanat, Jamie McKelvie, and Stephen Wacker. In our opinion – she rocks.

As the game begins, we learn how she obtained her superpowers during A-Day, the tragedy which torn the Avengers apart.

But that doesn’t stop our newborn hero from uncovering crucial evidence that reveals AIM’s (Advanced Idea Mechanics) conspiracy. She meets her childhood heroes and conveniences the team to make a comeback and kick a few more asses.

Speaking of ass-kicking, Kamala herself is no pushover. She can lengthen and supersize her limbs, and even change her shape. Oh, and naturally, with great character comes great gameplay, amination, and every aspect in-between. We can see as much in the new Marvel’s Avengers trailer above.

The short video also shows the tension between Bruce Banner and Tony Stark and gives us a hint of how Kamala helps resolve that tension. It’s still unclear how big her part in the game’s story is, but she seems to play an integral in its early stages. Will she be the one who eventually saves the day? We doubt it, but she will be responsible for at least one of Banner’s Hulk outs if she doesn’t stop slurping her drink…
