After it was announced almost a year ago, Frozenbyte’s Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince gets a release date and a brand new gameplay trailer.
Prince Selius suffers from intensely dark dreams and, due to his magical talents, monstrous nightmares are able to slip into reality and wreak havoc on the waking world.
Jump back into the shoes of our three misfits heroes: Amadeus the Wizard, Pontius the Knight, and Zoya the Thief. The trio is once again called on by the Trine Artifact to resolve the desperate situation before the world is engulfed by the Nightmare Prince’s shadows.
Showcasing the smooth gameplay, the new trailer gives us a quick look at familiar and new features in the upcoming fourth installment of the popular co-op franchise. With a rejuvenated combat system and a host of new skills, Trine 4 will have up to 4 players vanquishing new enemies and solving new physics-based puzzles. That’s right – the new game will support 4 player co-op for the first time in the series’ history.

Developer Frozenbyte promises to give fans the biggest and best Trine experience yet as the title boasts more playtime than Trine 1, 2, and 3.
Alongside the series’ new installment, publisher Modus games will release Trine: Ultimate Collection, the best way to experience the entire Trine series for new and existed fans alike. Packed with bonus content, the bundle will include Trine Enchanted Edition, Trine 2: Complete Story, Trine 3: The Artifacts of Power, and Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince.
Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince and Trine Ultimate Collection will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC on October 8.
