1C Entertainment has released the full gameplay demo of Devil’s Hunt, as it was shown at gaming conventions such as GDC and PAX East 2019.
The video is fairly long and focuses almost entirely on combat. We get to see protagonist Desmond uses his demon fists and various skills to beat the living hell out of some low-level enemies, as well as a couple of bosses.
There a few bits and pieces of the story, but without context, they don’t really reveal too much about what’s going on. All I could glean out of it is that in this part of the game, Desmond is on a rescue mission to break a demon named Agares out of demon prison.
In the final game, we’ll have to choose whether we want to side with the forces of Heaven or Hell in an epic battle that can alter the fate of humankind itself. During this battle, we will travel to Hell, Jerusalem, and Miami but I’m not sure which location we’re seeing in this Devil’s Hunt gameplay video. Kidding – this is clearly Jerusalem.
Keep in mind that this is not the game’s final look, and it’s still a work in progress. Animations, textures and even enemy and level design are all bound to change before the Devil’s Hunt hits PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One later in 2019.
You can read a little bit more about the game through our previous coverage, or follow 1C Publishing on Twitter. If you’re sold on the idea of playing a jacket-clad demon slayer, head over to the Devil’s Hunt Steam page and wishlist it.
