Atlus has released a teaser trailer for Persona 5: The Royal (P5R), either a sequel for Persona 5 or an updated version of the game.
The trailer shows the Shibuya Tsutaya tower, as the camera zooms out to give a ground-floor view of the famous Shibuya Crossing lost in a sea of umbrellas – hinting at some of the same locations as in Persona 5. A red-headed character, dressed in a Shujin high school uniform shares her thoughts about the Phantom Thieves. She is displeased with their methods but appreciates their goal.
“I think that helping people is a wonderful thing to be able to do. But, I can’t really say that I like them,” she says. “I don’t believe the Phantom Thieves and their methods will reform the world or help others. In the end, I believe that is only something that you yourself can really solve.”
The Persona 5: The Royal teaser is in Japanese, but if you don’t speak the language, YouTube user OmegaValwin has uploaded the teaser with English subtitles. Check their channel if you want to understand more of what’s going on.
To know more about this new Persona game, will have to wait until April 24th, when the “Persona Super Live” concert in Japan takes place. We should be getting additional details then
