My Friend Pedro was one of the games highlighted on the Devolver Digital E3 2018 press conference. It’s a silly-looking game that I’ve been wanting to play ever since I first saw it.

Check out that game’s new gameplay trailer for yourself. It’s extremely bananas.

The trailer is just all sorts of mayhem. You can see the main character (who isn’t Pedro, by the way. Pedro is the talking banana) shooting, jumping and dancing in slow motion.

We can see all the different ways you have to kill bad guys. Most of them involve bullets, but we can also see a decapitation by skateboard, and death by a severed head to the head.

I also like how you can deflect bullets off of surfaces to reach-out of-the-way enemies.

Publisher Devolver Digital describes My Friend Pedro as a “violent ballet about friendship, imagination, and one man’s struggle to obliterate anyone in his path at the behest of a sentient banana.” This sentence makes a lot more sense once you see the trailer.

The game looks like a lot of fun, especially if you like enjoy jumping into a basketball hop while pulling off headshots in bullet-time. Let’s call it banana-time.

My Friend Pedro is coming to PC and Nintendo Switch in early 2019.
