Murderous Pursuits is a multiplayer murder party simulator made by the same people who brought you The Ship: Remastered.
Instead of an ordinary ship, Murderous Pursuits takes place on a steampunk airship that’s capable of time travel. Onboard that ship, eight players will attempt to murder each other with as much stealth and finesse as possible.
Blend with the AI party goers, locate your target and wait for when no one’s looking. You’ll need to avoid drawing attention from the patrolling guards, but also from the party guests; who knows – one of them might be gunning for you.
To help you with your murderous pursuits (get it? That’s the name of the game), you have access to a wide range of sharp, blunt and ballistic tools.
You can also equip your assassin with “boons” – perks that will give you a slight advantage from time to time. These boons range from temporary disguises and flash grenades to the ability to counter another player’s action.
But you aren’t just murdering random strangers for the sake of murdering random strangers. You are aboard the ship Britania to impress the mysterious Mr. X and earn his favor.
Mr. X doesn’t care for simple, run-of-the-mill homicide. He will reward the more… exquisite of murderous acts. Not only will you have to plan every move carefully, but you’ll also need to execute your kill flawlessly if you want to impress him. That means learning to improvise because even the best-laid plans don’t hold up in the chaos of multiplayer.
Murderous Pursuits will be released next month on PC through Steam.
You can watch the announcement trailer below to learn a little bit more about the game and enjoy the buttery voice of the narrator. I’m pretty sure it’s the same narrator from The Stanley Parable, though I can’t say for sure.
