Indie developer Fatshark has announced Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is coming to consoles. Though, we already kind of knew that… we didn’t know to which consoles exactly, so I guess that’s the real item here – Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is coming to Xbox One and PS4.
“Although speculations have been correct all along, today we are happy to start talking more console specifics as the Xbox One and PlayStation versions has [sic] been confirmed,” says Martin Wahlund, CEO of Fatshark.
Switch owners and fans of giant rats might be disappointed to know that there was no mention of a Switch version in this announcement. There’s still a possibility the game will arrive on Nintendo’s console, but I wouldn’t hold my breath.
To celebrate this totally unexpected announcement, watch the official Warhammer: Vermintide 2 gameplay trailer below. The title doesn’t lie – there’s actual gameplay involved.
Vermintide 2 will also arrive on PC in early 2018. The console version still doesn’t have an official release window, but it’s likely it will be available slightly after the release on the PC version.
In addition to confirming the game’s console version, the announcement also provided us with more information about the sequel. Chaos is a new enemy faction, and there will be 15 hero careers, and new talent trees, weapons and environments.
