Campo Santo, the makers of the exploration game Firewatch, are working on a new single-player adventure game In the Valley of Gods.

This first-person title is set in Egypt in the 1920s. You play as Rashida, a disgraced former filmmaker and explorer out to save her good reputation, and maybe make a fortune in the process.

You are reunited with your old partner Zora, and go out on an adventure that might net you fame and fortune, or an unmarked grave in the treacherous sands of Egypt.

You can watch the announcement trailer, released during The Game Awards earlier this week. It’s a beautiful looking game, just like Santo Campo knows how to do. I’m also guessing there will be a big emphasis on the relationship between you and your partner.

In the Valley of Gods is currently being developed for PC and Mac, and is scheduled for a 2019 release. The game might be available for other platforms in the future, but Campo Santo refuse to make any promises. Firewatch did make it onto PS4 and Xbox One eventually, so there’s a good chance In the Valley of Gods will follow suit.

You can follow the game’s development on the studio’s official blog, or on Twitter.
