Assassin’s Creed Origins is out in 3 days, on October 27. So… launch trailer!
The game is set in an open-world version of ancient Egypt, where we will undoubtedly learn about the origins of the Brotherhood of Assassins. It’s in the title, after all.
However, the trailer isn’t about the origins of the Brotherhood of Assassins. It’s about Bayek’s tendency to stab various people with various pointy things. Bayek cinematically murders his way through the video using swords, blades, spears, axes and arrows. He is really quite gifted. We even see him try and murder Anubis, the Egyptian god of the afterlife.
When he isn’t killing people, we can see Bayek traversing the open world. There’s this cool bit where he slides down a weirdly-smooth pyramid, and in another we can see him underwater, out-swimming a crocodile. But it’s mostly killing.
If you want to see the stealthy side of Assassin’s Creed Origins, you can check out this gameplay video. It paints a little more diverse picture than this launch trailer.
Assassin’s Creed Origins is out October 27, on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
