Resident Evil 7 will be getting 2 final pieces of DLC by the end of the year – Not a Hero and End of Zoe. We’ve already seen some gameplay footage from Not a Hero, but today is the first time we see anything for the End of Zoe DLC.
The trailer starts with somewhat of a spoiler, with Ethan (SPOILERS) choosing to give the vaccine to his wife Mia instead of Zoe. I chose to give it to Zoe, by the way, which netted me the bad ending. Lame…
Well, after Ethan and Mia leave Zoe behind, she is encased in black goo by Eveline. Luckily for her, a mysterious stranger named Joe finds her and saves her. Joe claims to be Zoe’s family, though we never saw him in the mansion. Could be a long lost cousin of something.
The other half of the trailer shows more of the free Not a Hero DLC. Chris Redfield is chasing after Lucas Baker in a set of underground dungeons. Who’d have thought Lucas will turn out to be the big bad Baker, right? Jack is much more menacing than that rat-faced junkie. On the bright side, we might get more of Lucas’s twisted puzzles.
Both DLCs will be included in the Resident Evil 7 Biohazard Gold Edition on December 12. The Gold Edition is the full game plus all post-release content, so it’s a great option for anyone who still hasn’t played this excellent horror title.
End of Zoe will also be available as part of the game’s Season Pass, or separately for $14.99 / €14.99 / £11.99. Not a Hero is, of course, still free for anyone who owns the game.
Everything mentioned in this post is coming December 12, for PC, PlayStation and Xbox One.
