Finally, Rockstar has released another Red Dead Redemption 2 trailer. And this one, just like the previous trailer, is a thing of beauty.

The trailer introduces us to the game’s protagonist – the outlaw Arthur Morgan. Morgan is a member of the Van der Linde gang, a group you might remember hunting down in Red Dead Redemption.

Since the trailer shows the gang robbing, fighting, stealing and very much alive, we can confirm that Red Dead Redemption 2 is indeed a prequel. We can even see a glimpse of Dutch Van der Linde, the gang’s leader, and we know how he ended up…

Funny enough, John Marston is nowhere to be seen. Maybe this is before he joined the gang, or maybe Rockstar is planning on showing him a bit closer to the game’s release date.

Speaking of which, the release window of Spring 2018 is still happening. It’s still more than 5 months away, but at least we know when to expect the game.

If you absolutely have to ensure you’ll get a copy of Red Dead Redemption 2 by then, you can pre-order the game on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One right now.

Sorry PC gamers, still no PC version announced. Don’t lose hope, though. It’s still possible Rockstar will bring the gamer to PC sometime after the console versions hit the market, just like they did with GTA V.
