The co-op rat-slaying action game is getting a sequel – Warhammer: Vermintide 2.
Warhammer: Vermintide 2 was announced by Fatshark with little to no detail. The game’s Steam page displays a pretty thin description, that does sound like a Vermintide game.
Set in the dark and grim Warhammer Fantasy world, you must join forces with up to three other players to tackle the endless hordes of enemies. Equipped with a variety of melee and ranged weapons, you and your team are all that stands between utter defeat and victory – and if you fall so will the Empire.
That’s it. This is all we have to go on at the moment. A full reveal is scheduled for October 17, through the developer’s Twitch channel. Until then, you can scroll through a few environmental screenshots below.
The sequel’s environments look much brighter than the ones we saw in the original Vermintide. I wonder if the change of scenery hints at more changes to come. Like new enemies, or at least new types pf giant rats.
Warhammer: Vermintide 2 doesn’t have a release date as of yet, but it will come out on PC and consoles. Well wait fir October to get the full details.
