Artifact is card game based on Dota 2. If you watched the teaser trailer, you know all there is to know about it at the moment. Well, almost…

Valve Software announced the game during the International Dota 2 Championships. According to Polygon, Event host Sean “Day9” Plott indicated that the game will involve “building barracks, creeps, and lanes”.

Artifact will definitely include characters from Dota 2, and will be played on three boards. This is it for the official info. We’ll probably get more soon, as the game now has a twitter account you can follow.

It looks like Artifact is going to do for Dota 2 what Hearthstone is for World of Warcraft. If that will indeed be the case, Valve is about to have a mobile hit on their hands. Dota 2 is the most played game on Steam at the moment, and it has a huge following all over the world.

We’ll be an eye out for more Artifact information in the days to come. Right now, it seems likely the game will be release on PC, iOS and Android in 2018.
