Red Dead Redemption 2 has been pushed back to 2018. When it was first announced, the game was set for fall of 2017, but that’s no longer the case.
“We are very sorry for any disappointment this delay causes, but we are firm believers in delivering a game only when it is ready,” Rockstar said in a statement. “We are really excited to bring you more details about the game this summer. In the meantime, please enjoy this selection of new screenshots from the world of Red Dead Redemption 2.”
And enjoy them we shall. You can find the beautiful screens below, showing environments, a close up on two highly-detailed pistols, and even some trains; everybody likes trains.
There are a couple of screens that give us a better look at some characters. While I’m still not sure who they are (at least one of them seems to be the protagonist), they definitely look better then the ones in the original Red Dead Redemption. That’s because RDR2 is the first game Rockstar is making exclusively to current-gen consoles. If you remember, GTA V came out on PS3 and Xbox 360 before it was remastered for PS4 and Xbox One in 2014.
It will be interesting to see what Rockstar can do with the power of the PS4 and Xbox One, when Red Dead Redemption 2 is released in early 2018.
