Jason Voorhees, the iconic teen mutilator is finally making his comeback next moth. We know this thanks to a new Friday the 13th: The Game gameplay trailer.
The trailer, released by Gun Media, shows Jason being Jason, which most consists of murdering a bunch of scared teens and walking very slowly. There are also a few times we see the camp counselors getting the upper hand, but these don’t last very long.
At the end of the trailer, Jason himself reveals the new (and hopefully final) release date to be May 26, 2017.
Friday the 13th: The Game pits 7 counselors against one Jason. Players will be able to choose from a variety of characters, each with it own strength and weaknesses. There will even be multiple version of Jason you can play, based of the killer’s many incarnations. Like the camp counselors, each Jason will have different abilities, but all are extremely deadly.
Most of the game will take place in Camp Crystal Lake and the surrounding area, but players will also visit Higgins Haven and Packanack Lodge. I don’t think we’ll get to go to space like in Jason X, but who knows.
Friday the 13th: The Game will be digitally released on PC, PS4 and Xbox One on May 26.
