Friday the 13th: The Game developer Gun Media has released a new trailer for their multiplayer camp counselor murdering simulator.
As you might expect from a trailer for a game like this – it’s pretty horrifying. The entire thing is footage of Jason Voorhees slaughtering his helpless victims in many, many creative ways – all of which are bloody disgusting. My favorite bit is where Jason reaps out a counselor’s heart with his bare hand and peeks at the camera through the hole. Classic.
The video is accompanied by a rocking hair metal track that sounds like its taken straight out of the ’80s. It’s really nice to see Gun Media is doing their best to maintain the movies’ gory, yet campy vibe. See for yourself.
This is also the first time we get to see makeup artist Tom Savini’s new Jason model. It’s based on Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday. Basically it’s what Jason would look like after the events of the movie. You’ll find two images of the modle below – one with a mask and one without.
Friday the 13th: The Game will be released later this year, with a new single-player mode and a more robust multiplayer experience.
