Telltale Games has released the first details on the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy series.
The series will tell a new original story, where Star-Lord, Gamoram Drax, Rocket and Groot fight over an artifact of unspeakable power. Each of them has a reason to want to relic, but an unknown villain, who is the last of her kind, is also after the artifact and she will stop at nothing to get her hands on it.
Players will take the role of Star-Lord and drive the whole experience with their choices, like any Telltale Game we all know.
The series will take the Guardians on an adventure spanning Earth, the Milano, Knowhere “and beyond”. Of course, it wouldn’t be a Guardians of the Galaxy game without a kickass soundtrack.
In addition to the story details, Telltale also revealed the voice cast for the game. While the actors form the movies will not reprise their roles, we still get a very impressive lineup:
Scott Porter (Friday Night Lights, The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series) as Star-Lord, Emily O’Brien (The Young and the Restless, Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor) as Gamora, Nolan North (the Uncharted series, Pretty Little Liars) as Rocket, Brandon Paul Eells (Watch Dogs) as Drax, and Adam Harrington (The Wolf Among Us, League of Legends) as Groot.
Guardians of the Galaxy will debut this spring on PC, consoles and mobile devices.
