Nier: Automata is now available in North America on the PlayStation 4. Publisher Square Enix wants to celebrate the occasion (and get us all hyped to play the game) with a new trailer.
The launch trailer tries very hard to tell us one very specific thing about the game – that it has tons of great action in it. Square Enix is striving to combine their JPRG know-how with Platinum Games special brand of action, and if the trailer is to be believe, they appear to have succeeded.
Apart from that, all you should really know is that you will play as androids 2B, 9S and A2 as they fight to reclaim the world for their human creators and uncover truths long forgotten.
After watching this launch trailer and playing the demo in my spare time, I have to admit Nier: Automata definitely looks like one Platinum Games’ better titles. After a rather lackluster streak of mediocre games, it’s nice to see this great developer releasing an actually good game with a robust combat system and an interesting story.
Nier: Automata is now available on PS4 in North America. The game will reach Europe on March 10, and a PC version will release worldwide on March 17.
