The second video in the Mass Effect Andromeda gameplay series is out, and just as they said in the first one, it’s dedicated to profiles, favorite skill sets and squad commands.

Profiles are essentially a switchable class system. They are named after the classes from the original trilogy (Soldier, Adapt, Infiltrator, etc.), and provide bonuses to your various skills. In the video we learn that the Adapt profile enhances the player’s biotic abilities, while the Explorer profile is a more rounded one that boosts all types of skills.

The player can switch between profiles and skill sets on the fly thanks to a new favorites system. You can have up to four favorite sets, and the video goes out of its way to show just how useful having them can be. Equipping the Infiltrator profile with a few tech and combat skills is great for keeping enemies at range, but you can switch to the Soldier profile if they get a bit too close.

Finally, the video shortly goes over squad commands and how the player can combine their skills with those of their squad’s to create Power Combos.

As an added bonus, BioWare has released another video, where actress Natalie Dormer discusses her role as Doctor Lexi T’Perro, the resident physician on the Tempest.

Mass Effect Andromeda is out March 21 on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
