Bandai Namco has released the first gameplay trailer for Little Nightmares, the indie horror title they are publishing. The video is comprised entirely of edited gameplay footage, and it is just as creepy as you’d expect it to be. Perhaps even more so.
This is the first time we get to see how the game plays, and not just bits and pieces of protagonist Six sneaking about or dying in several unpleasant ways.
If you want to avoid any sort of spoilers, you might want to consider skipping this one, as it does show a new type of enemy I don’t think we’ve seen before. It will haunt my dreams, that’s for sure.
We see Six sneaking, climbing and doing some light puzzles-solving. Six doesn’t appear to have an inventory of any sort, so she has to rely on stuff lying around to help distract baddies and reach high places. You might want to compare Little Nightmares with Limbo and Inside, but the game appears to be slower, and much more eerie, if such a thing is even possible.
Little Nightmare will arrive on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on April 28.
