Obsidian Entertainment is getting ready to announce a new project. They’re calling it Project Louisiana, and it has something to do with green, pipes and grain.

We know that because the studio has posted a new image on its website and Twitter account, showing a pipe (and is it an axe?) and a stock of grain in front of a deep green background. Below, we can see a sentence that reads “I used to dream that when my god came back, he would forgive us.That’s the trouble with dreams. Sooner or later, we all have to wake up.”

Project Louisiana

Right now, the two major theories on the Obsidian forums are that Project Louisiana is either a new Fallout game that takes place in and around New Orleans, or simply Pillars of Eternity 2.

One particular forum post is dedicated to deciphering a series of glyphs found in the sites code. Some suggest they spell Deadfire, a pirate Archipelago in Pillars of Eternity. Could this we’re getting a pirate-themed sequel or expansion?

Of course, there’s always the possibility Project Louisiana is a completely new IP.
