When you buy a Nintendo Switch on March 3, you’ll be getting a bundled JoyCon Grip, which allows you to use the two separate JoyCon controllers as one classic controller.

However, we just learned that this version of the Grip will not charge your JoyCon controllers while in use. If you want to keep your controllers from dying while playing, you’ll need a special charging Grip that can charge them without being tethered to the dock.

You can get one of those charging Grips for $30. It can be used to either keep your controllers during while playing, or serve as a second charging station for an extra pair of JoyCon controllers, since they don’t have charging ports of their own.

The JoyCon controllers have a battery life of 20 hours, and take about 3.5 hours to fully charge. Just remember to connect them to a docked Switch at night, and you’ll be set.

The Nintendo Switch will be released around the world on March 3, 2017.
