We’ve seen a lot of the game’s weird vision of the future, where machines roam the earth like wild animals, but the Horizon Zero Dawn story trailer finally gives us a little bit of context. We learn more about the reason Aloy leaves her home and sets of a journey to discover a “dark plot that stands to change her world forever”.
The video also gives us a look at the game’s main bad guys – a tribe of masked warriors who appear to have some sort of control over the machines. However, Aloy is not alone in her quest, as she will meet plenty of allies from different tribes, including a mysterious man who seems to know more than he lets on.
If you like what you see in the trailer, you’ll be glad to know Horizon Zero Dawn is about a month away, and will launch exclusively for PS4. on February 28, 2017.
