Everything is very green in Cyanide Studio’s upcoming Call of Cthulhu, which makes sense as that’s the second color most people associate with Cthulhu. The first one is, of course, the color out of space.
It’s been a while since we’ve heard anything new about Call of Cthulhu. The last piece of news came around E3 2016, with a short but rather eerie trailer. The new screenshots don’t do much to diminish the game’s creep factor; quite the opposite in fact. Especially the last one, which depicted some sort of shrine and what appears to be a bulbous creature of some sort with green eyes.
The rest show protagonist Edward Pierce has he explores Darkwater island and the Hawkins family. It would be interesting to see if the game would do justice to its source material. So far – it looks promising.
Call of Cthulhu will be released in 2017, on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
