Yooka-Laylee has a brand new gameplay trailer, showing a brand new world called the Absolutely-Not-Crooked Capital Cashino. In this new stage, players will meet the dangers of gambling, evil security guards and, of course, a nightclub. As long as they stay out of the staff-only zones, things should be OK.
As the dynamic duo of chameleon and bat cruise along the various areas of the world, we can see that a lot of casino-themed platforming, such as giant roulette tables with scorching balls, slot machines that might yield prizes and even a golf course filled with enemies. There will be plenty of exploring to be done, secret areas to find and even a new transformation to unlock.
Along with the trailer come the magnificent news of a proper release date! Yooka-Laylee will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on April 11 2017.
Sadly, due to technical issues, Playtonic Games won’t be able to port the game to the Wii U, but they are working with Nintendo to bring the game to the Switch. Backers who opt for the Wii U version can change switch over to any other version free for charge via the Yooka-Laylee Wii U FAQ page.
