Resident Evil 7: Beginning Hour, the ever-changing demo for Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, will receive a “massive” update later today, December 3. The update is supposed to add a lot of new content, as well as support for the PlayStation VR.
The update was announced through a new trailer, subtitled Tape 3, similar to the last time the demo was updated back in September.
The trailer doesn’t show much of the demo, but instead focuses more on the story and gameplay of the full title. We learn that protagonist Ethan believed his wife Mia to be dead for the last three years, but now he has received a “message from behind the grave” which leads him to the Louisiana plantation house. As we all know, that’s the residence of the not-so-normal Baker family, and may other horrors.
Throughout the video, we see the different Bakers, including what appears to be a boss fight with a chainsaw-wielding Jack Baker. Good luck surviving that. There are also glimpses of what appears to be a zombie, goo monsters and a creepy little girl. Resident Evil 7: Biohazard is sure pulling out all the stops in preparation for its launch on January 24, on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
The updated demo will be available today on PlayStation 4, and will come to Xbox One on December 9, and to PC on December 19.
