Nintendo is known for being extremely overprotective of their Intelectual Properties, so after a massive leak made Pokemon Sun and Moon made available online for would-be Internet pirates, the company did not stood by quietly.

Those with illegal copies of Pokemon Sun and Moon are being hit with Nintendo’s massive ban hammer. If you pirated the game and attempt to use the online services on of the 3DS, you’ll be hit with a 15-day suspension. If this isn’t your first offense, Nintendo will ban you for a lifetime with a permanent block.

The message 3DS users receive simply states that Nintendo has restricted access to online services, and to obtain help they need to go to the Nintendo Support website. I doubt it will help, though.

Hopefully, this will make Pokemon pirates see that piracy is bad, and they should feel bad. Pokemon Sun and Moon will be officially released on November 18.
