The Deer God, a beautiful pixel adventure by Australian indie developer Blowfish Studios, is making its way to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in early 2017.

In The Deer God, you player as a hunter who gets mauled to death while out hunting deer. The hunter comes face to face with the titular Deer God, who brings him back to life as a deer.

As a deer only has one life to live, players will explore the colorful, procedurally generated environments while avoiding hunters and predators, and feeding to replenish their health. While the game is light on combat, it does offer plenty of platforming and challenging puzzle-solving.

However, as their deer grows from a fawn to a mature buck, players will be able to mate with wild does and produce offspring. Each new-born fawn serves as an extra live for the original deer, should it die.

The Deer God is currently available on PC, Xbox One and mobile devices.
