Rockstar have released the first Red Dead Redemption 2 trailer, just like they said two days ago when they officially announced the game. It’s a teaser trailer, so don’t expect much in the ways of gameplay.
The trailer mostly shows different scenery, from farmlands at sunrise, to dense forests at night, to the dirty streets of a frontier settlements. Everything looks absolutely gorgeous and detailed, and it all appears to be in engine. It is seriously impressive stuff.
towards the end of the short trailer, we hear a voice telling us to run and don’t look back, and we see a glimpse of the game’s protagonist and his posse of outlaws. For some reason, the voice sounds very familiar to me, and a part of me thinks it’s the voice of John Marston from the original Red Dead Redemption. I’m not quite sure, though.
Rumors have it that Red Dead Redemption 2 could be a prequel, so maybe this gang of outlaws are actually Marston and his old gang – the same gang he hunts down in the original game.
Red Dead Redemption 2 will arrive in Fall 2017, on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
