Sniper Ghost Warrior 3, by CI Games, has been delayed for a few months. Originally planned to release on January 17, 2017, that date is now being shifted to April 4. CI Games have stated that they want to polish the game further after the press, fans and streamers tested it out recently.
“We’re making an ambitious game and unsurprisingly still need an extra few months to make sure it will stand up to the expectations of the fans. Our goal is to ensure Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 runs smoothly on all platforms, and right now we still have some important work left on optimizing the game,” CEO of CI Games, Marek Tymiński said. “This is our biggest project we’ve ever worked on and the entire team is pushing really hard to make the entire experience more polished.”
In Sniper Ghost Warrior 3, you are playing as Jonathan North, US sniper currently deployed in Georgia, near the Russian border. While exploring this area, players can create customizable weapons and use unique equipment to complete objectives. The three gameplay styles are Sniper, Ghost and Warrior – each having slightly different mechanics.
Fans may be a little disappointed with the delay, but it’s likely that the extra few months will allow the developers to properly polish the third game in this series. We’ll see how it turns out come April next year, when Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 is released on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
