In preparation for the upcoming release of Titanfall 2, the development team at Respawn Entertainment has put together a couple of videos to show its vision for the all new single-player campaign.

Players experience the game as the protagonist Jack Cooper, a low class Rifleman who is secretly being trained by the pilot Capt. Lastimosa. Lastimosa has been entrusted with the most advanced Titan, codenamed B.T. for Buddy Titan. After a mission goes sideways, Lastimosa and the rest of the crew are killed in action. With only one way to finish the mission, B.T. teams up with the player to get the job done.

Initially mistrustful of the rifleman who has yet to pass the tests to become a pilot, the time spent between the player and B.T. creates a bond that may help the Militia defeat the IMC. The developers illustrate this bond in the game through the conversation mechanic.

In Titanfall 2, players will learn more about the world by interacting with B.T., and in turn get to know the history and personality of the behemoth. Along the way, B.T. even discovers how to be more human as he learns to recognize hand gestures like a thumbs up or sarcasm.

Players will be able to experience Titanfall 2’s single-player campaign when the game comes out October 28, on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
