4A Games, the creators of Metro 2033, Metro: Last Light, and Metro Redux, have revealed a new Oculus Rift title designed to take advantage of the Oculus Touch controllers.
Arktika.1 is set on an earth that has entered a new ice age, with most of humanity escaping to the equatorial regions, where it is still warm. You, however, are not one of those cowards. You are part of a Russian colony established on top of a resource-rich territory – resources other people desperately want. With your two virtual guns, controlled by using the Oculus Touch, you will fend off raiders, marauders, and strange creatures.
After reading this description and watching the trailer above, I wouldn’t blame you if you start drawing comparisons between Arktika.1 and the Metro series. They do look and feel fairly similar.
Arktika.1 is set for release in Q2 2017 as an Oculus Rift exclusive on PC.
