DICE has released a trailer for the single-player campaign of Battlefield 1. It provides us with an epic overview of the war, the people behind the weaponry and the devastating conflicts that took place. We also see a few of the characters that will presumably play a role in the story.

According to the official post, during the campaign, players will experience a series of “War Stories”: personal stories focusing on different protagonists with unique backgrounds and skills.

One such story is Through Mud and Blood. It takes place late in the war and centers on a British Mark V Tank crew, particularity the driver. Through the eyes of the young soldier, players will learn how to operate the massive machine of war.

DICE go on to state that it wants to cover as much ground as possible with the Great War and all the different people who fought in it. This iteration of Battlefield, unlike previous games, will focus on a range of characters through “classic cinematics” which will allow the players to feel more engaged with the characters they are embodying.

Let’s hope the hype pays off when Battlefield 1 comes out on October 21, for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
