2K Games and Hanger 13 has released the Mafia 3 gameplay demo that was shown to attendees of Gamescom 2016. It’s a 16-minute video, but only around half of it is actual gameplay.

The beginning of this demo is dedicated to familiarize us with the city of New Bordeaux, but since we already went of a virtual tour through the city’s districts in August, you can probably skip to around the 5-minute mark to catch the demo’s introduction, or straight to 7:45 for the start of the gameplay segment.

The demo itself shows a mix of driving, sneaking and shooting – probably the three most popular activities in New Bordeaux. It all seems like pretty standard stuff, though the cutscenes paint an interesting story that surrounds all this open-world action.

We’ll be playing Mafia 3 when it’s released for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on October 11. If you are still on the fence, you can wait for our official review around  that time.
