The Chilean gamer Gonzalo Barrios, known as ZeRo in the eSport community, has been inducted into the Guinness World Records: Gamer’s Edition 2017, along with Jason “Mew2King” Zimmerman.

ZeRo holds the record of Longest Winning Streak in Super Smash Bros. Tournaments. Between November 2014 and October 2015, he has won a whopping 56 (which the book erroneously printed as 53) tournaments in a row. His streak ended at the MLG World Finals at October 18, 2015 against competitive player Nairoby “Nairo” Quezada.

Mew2King is featured for the most eSports tournament victories (Single Player). He has won 339 tournaments as of February 11t, 2016, victories which netted him earnings of $141,488.

These amazing records join others, such as “Highest Number of Words in a SSB Brawl Fanfiction”, “Strongest Recorded Hit in Smash 4”, “Most K.O.’s in Melee” and “Largest Smash Tournament”.

We hope the best for ZeRo and Mew2King, and wish luck to any future record breakers.
