2K Games has laid out its plans for all post-launch Mafia 3 DLC, with includes both free and paid content.
The paid DLC, available as part of the game’s Season Pass, is divided into three major expansions for the core experience. These expansions will offer more story, more locations and more action, and will let us extend out time in as New Bordeaux as Lincoln Clay. We will also face new challenges and threats, with each new expansion introducing new characters that might not have Lincoln’s best interest at heart.
The first expansion is titled “Faster, Baby!”, and will reunite Lincoln with an old flame, Roxy Laveau. Together, they will take down a corrupt Sheriff terrorizing Civil Rights activists on the outskirts of New Bordeaux. As the name suggests, the DLC is filled with fast cars, dramatic chases and reckless driving.
The second is “Sign of the Times”, which revolves around a string of ritualistic killings terrorizing New Bordeaux. Lincoln investigates these murders on behalf of Father James. In his pursuit after the cult responsible, Lincoln will go from the dark bayou to the drug-ridden inner city.
The third and final expansion is “Stones Unturned”. Lincoln and CIA agent John Donovan join forces to hunt down a merciless rival and settle a blood feud that began in the jungles of Vietnam. According to image below, we might be getting a flashback mission or two during the Vietnam war.
As mentioned, all this DLC will be part of Mafia 3’s Season Pass for $29.99. If you don’t want to by the Season Pass, you can purchase these expansions individually for a total of $39.97, which is about $13 a piece assuming all 3 will cost the same. There’s also the option of getting the Deluxe Edition of Mafia 3 for $79.99, as it include the full game and the Season Pass, and saves you a total of $19.97.
Apart from this story DLC, Mafia 3 will also have recurring drops of free content, such as new outfits for Lincoln, new cars and car customization options, new weapons and free racing activities.
Mafia 3 will be out October 7 on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
