Telltale Games has reveal new information about the anticipated third season of The Walking Dead during PAX West 2016. For starters, we now know this season will not be known as The Walking Dead: Season 3, but rather as The Walking Dead – A New Frontier.

The new name is an indication that season 3 marks a new beginning for the series. It will continue Clementine’s story, but by now she is a well-established character ready to forge her own story.

“This third new season will serve as both a continuation of what’s come before in our story, as well as an all-new beginning set nearly four years after the outbreak events of Season One,” said Kevin Bruner, Co-Founder and CEO of Telltale Games. “As a harrowing and horrific drama, ‘A New Frontier’ will explore beyond what it means to survive in a world ravaged by the undead, and will see our characters confronting the new rules of order and justice in a land being brutally reclaimed and rediscovered by what’s left of humanity itself.”

Telltale Games has also provided us with a release window for the first episode of the new season – November 2016. It’s not that far, so fans will be back playing as Clementine in no time. This time around, we will also get to play as a completely new character – Javier. We still don’t know a lot about him, besides the fact that he has a family to protect.

The Walking Dead – A New Frontier will be coming to consoles, PC and mobile devices this November.
