Duke Nukem is back in Duke Nukem 3D: 20th Anniversary World Tour. This new edition features all the Duke Nukem 3D action we know and love, plus new content in the form of updated graphics, new music, in-game commentary and even new levels.
Duke Nukem 3D: 20th Anniversary will support both the original 1996 graphics, and the updated look and frame rate. There will also be new music tracks composed by Lee Jackson, original composer of Duke Nukem’s iconic theme, and sound designer for Duke Nukem 3D. And of course, this isn’t Duke Nukem without a few new lines from Duke’s voice actor, Jon St. John.
The piece de resistance of this new edition is a whole new episode, featuring eight original levels created by the original designers of Duke Nukem 3D.
“Making it possible for Allen, Richard, Lee and Jon to all come back together 20 years later to bring a whole new episode to the classic game is just one of those rare and incredible things that I hope will bring joy and happiness to hardcore videogame fans new and old,” said Randy Pitchford, president of Gearbox.
The previous adventure of Duke Nukem did no go so well, to put it mildly. Maybe another visit of the title that made Duke Nukem great, will return him to his former glory.
Duke Nukem 3D: 20th Anniversary Edition releases October 11 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
