Turn 10 Studios has announced that its newest racing title, Forza Horizon 3, has gone gold. To celebrate, the studio has announced the PC specifications and the addition of the iconic Halo vehicle – the Warthog.
With the official release just around the corner, the announcement that Forza Horizon 3 has gone gold means that the game has begun the actual packaging process and is on its way to store shelves. Turn 10 has also designed a promotional poster for the announcement that details the entire garage of cars that will be available at launch.
In addition to a lineup of 350+ cars, the Halo 5 model of the classic Warthog will also be available. Keeping with the theme of freestyle, off-road racing, the Warthog is a human transportation vehicle from the Halo series that is designed to overpower any planetary environment, including the Australian outback.
Tying the game back to the Windows Play Anywhere promise, the developers were also able to reveal the officially recommended PC specifications. Although not necessarily the minimum, most PC gamers will be needing an upgrade or two in order to compete with the stiff online competition.

Unfortunately, the basic recommendation may not get players the 4K output that the Xbox One S will offer. However, the PC version of the game will actually be able to outperform the console’s clarity with the help of a GTX 10 series which will give players the “ultimate 4K racing experience”.
Our previous look at the game during this year’s E3 event has shown that Forza Horizon 3, as experienced on Xbox One, will be one of Microsoft’s most beautiful racing games yet. Forza Horizon 3 will be able to look even better on PC once it is released on September 27, for Windows 10 PCs and the Xbox One.
