Hot Lava, a new 3D game being developed by Klei Entertainment, has revealed a gameplay trailer. The trailer explains, quickly and succinctly, what the game is all about. In its very core, this a video game inspired by a very simple game we all played as children – the floor is lava.
As stated in the trailer’s description, players are invited to “relive those moments of excitement, joy and chaos. Traverse distinct worlds, from school hallways to the memories of your darkest fears. This is a game of dexterity and ingenuity, you will have to use all your skills to complete the treacherous obstacles that await.”
Klei Entertainment, well known for producing Don’t Starve and Invisible Inc., are finally moving into 3D – and whilst this may look like a simple platformer, it’s very likely that Klei will leave their own mark on the genre.
We don’t know many more details just yet, but more will surely be revealed as the game continues to develop.
