Rick and Morty co-creator, Justin Roiland, together with former Epic Games Executive Producer Tanya Watson have partnered up to launch their new dedicated VR studio, Squanchtendo.

In line with Roiland’s traditionally bizarre art style, the official announcement stars a unique mascot named, Splzooshly who explains the talented work of the people who founded the studio. The two dedicated gamers come from a history of creativity as Roiland not only helped create his famous Adult Swim cartoon, but also provides the voices of their main characters. Watson, on the other hand, is “straight up a video game veteran” as Splzooshly puts it, thanks to her work on the Gears of War titles.

Unfortunately, The announcement didn’t come with any title reveals. However, according to the career page on the website, the team is still looking for very specific animators to help “make amazing looking translations of 2D stylized art into awesome and integrated 3D experiences”. Possibly hinting at an upcoming Rick and Morty VR title.

Now that Squantchtendo has been officially revealed, fans of Justin and Tanya’s creative history should look forward to more announcements in the near future.
