Get Even is another one of those games that were announced ages ago only to fall off the radar. Today, the game has finally resurfaced with a new gameplay trailer, and a few more story details.
The game follows Cole Black, who awakes in an old abandoned asylum without his memory. The only thing he remembers is trying to rescue a teenage girl with a bomb strapped to her chest.
According to developer The Farm 51, Get Even is a “surrealistic and unconventional” title that challenges the player’s understanding of justice and reality. They will have to navigate both the real-world environments and Cole’s own mind in order to answer two questions: Why was Cole in the asylum, and who was the girl.
From the trailer, we can learn the game will deal with some form of virtual reality, as the enemies appear to wear some sort of a VR headset. It’s also possible Cole himself is wearing one, and is having difficulties distinguishing reality from the simulation. I have to say it looks interesting.
Get Even is set to release in spring of 2017 on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One
